What it covers, in plain terms
A commercial property manager looks after a building day to day on the owner’s behalf. Generally, that means:
- Tenants. Being the point of contact for tenants and keeping track of the leases.
- Rent and expenses. Collecting rent and keeping the building’s income and costs in order.
- Upkeep. Coordinating maintenance, repairs and the vendors who do the work.
- Reporting. Keeping the owner informed about the property.
Every building is different, so the scope is agreed with each owner before anything begins.
